Hello all,
New to me boat (Beneteau 423) does not have a galvanic isolator.... and I am going to add. I read an article Maine Sail wrote regarding and they seem pretty easy to install and worth the money. Have a few questions.... I have two 30 amp service coming into boat; house and a/c. I saw one brand, Yandina that says they can hook two services to one isolator, however this unit does not meet ABYC as a stand alone... have to buy in addition a remote monitor. Other units I have seen are ABYC certified, however make no mention if you can hook two services to one isolator.... I know the companies can tell me this in the morning but figured I would throw this out there for the experienced group. Also any recommendations as to what brand??

Thanks!

I think Gunni answered your question. As a general rule, electrical devices should be rated for their service. Putting 60 amps through a GI rated for 30 seems like a bad idea.
