Does anyone know where to get a replacement for the galley pump in the Oday 26? The pump I'm looking to replace is the vertical plunger-type with a black knob. The only similar one I can find is the Whale V offered by Defender. Has anyone replaced their pump with a rocker-type pump? How did it fit? Thanks.

I replaced the one in my 25...
with an exact match I found on Ebay. The pump I found was a jet, I think, and matched exactly the one that finally went bad after 26 years. If that doesn't work, try and RV dealer or RV superstore.

Galley pump for O'Day 25
I replaced the galley and lavatory pumps on my 1978 O'Day 25 with identical to original replacements that I found on e-bay. The pumps are Valterra Rocket Pumps. They cost about $35.00 each.

Try Stright-Mackay
I had to replace both pumps on my 26. I found new pumps made by FynSpray in New Zealand and ordered from: Stright-Mackay 209 Terra Cotta Drive New Glasgow, NS Canada 902-928-1905 It sounds like it might have been a hassle and with the exception of being on back order when they were shipped from Nova Scotia they were here within a week.

I replaced both pumps in my 25. Camping World has the Rocket that is the replacement for $27. I upgraded one of the old broken pumps by mounting a Whale Gusher Galley Mk3 foot in line with it. I left the old pump in place and used it as the faucet and have the Whale pump mounted below in one of the storage areas. That way you can use both hands to wash and pump with your foot. It works great. sPk
