I know this has been discussed before, but I'll intrude with the request...I would like an alternative to the flimsy(under the sink) original equipment galley and head pump faucets. Has anyone installed another more substantial piece and are there pictures of same? Thanks to a forum that has been very helpful in the past...SV Ahimsa II

H26 Gally sink

I think you'll find most people either: (1) upgrade to a better quality pump style faucet from fynspray (2) pressurize the system. There are several ways to do this, but I think the simplest is to install a Shurflo pump at the tank and replace the flapper style faucets with single handle faucets in the galley and head. West marine catalog has both. I think you'll spend less than $200. Here's a couple of pictures I took during install. It works great. http://kobernus.com/faucet/ More info on how I did this contact me directly, I'm in the owners directory.

Additional Photos Please

George, Can you provide additional photos on this installation? I would like to see where you tied into the hard lines with your flexible lines. I can be reached at the following email twosailors_at_att_dot_net Thanks much, Michael

pipe fittings

If you will convert over to pipe fittings with either hose barbs or male and female fittings for your tubing you will probally have better luck. Pipe fittings are standard. Check with most any industrial hose supply house and they may be able to help.

See if this diagram is helpful. I will try to find a picture send it in the next couple of days.

Scandvik Faucets

I installed a pressurized water system in our H260 this year. I used the same pump as George, but used Scandvik faucets in the galley and head. I like the folding spout feature. Works great. Good luck.

Pressurized H2O

I installed a pressurized system this spring just aft of the water tank in the starboard side (see photo.) I think it is important to use an accumulator tank to reduce the pump cycling. I bought 2.5 gal tank at Lows for half the price of a smaller one from WM. I also bought two shurflo folding taps at Boater's World, $30 each and a filter system from Lows. Love the system now.
