Has anyone removed and replaced their galley sliding doors for the shelf or the same over the hanging galley on a Catalina 30 (1981)?
Galley & hanging locker plexiglass doors

I changed mine out several years ago with a tinted gold backing plexiglass. I used dimensions that allowed them to be set in the tracks. I had a plastics shop cut them for me.
I did this both in the galley & the head. I haven't done anything over the hanging locker, as all the cabinet wood matches besides, what would you use to latch em closed? Plexiglass can crack easily when under any stress loads like latching.
Then I put cute little knobs on them. When I leave my boat, I also slightly open all the drawers & cabinets so no moisture or odors start.

Thank you for the quick reply. You wouldn't happen to have any dimensions and pictures would you? All My glass is missing. I would like to do what you did.

Take the opening dimensions Length x Width. Figure in a slight overlap when both are closed say, 1". Add this to both lengths as one slides behind the other. Measure the depth of one track then divide that by 1/2 to get the correct height.
To make this all go smoothly, make a template cut out of cardboard. cut to the size & see if it will fit. You will want to first insert the top edge into the track then slip the bottom into it's track.
