Anyone know where to get a repair kit or replacement faucet for a galley sink? Mine has given up the ghost and leaks water into the storage compartment under the sink. Thanks in advance.

Easy/Cheap Fix

Just purchased hand pump type faucet from local RV dealer for $29 + TX. Looks same as original Hunter equipment on my 1995 H26. Screws into counter top - took fifteen minutes to fix. Wish all repairs were this easy. Mike T.

Quick and easy fix

When I first bought my boat the faucet always made one heck of a mess when used. I took it apart, went to ace hardware, and found new o-rings to fit. Ten minutes to put it back together. 2 or three dollars including a set of spares. It hasn't leaked in four years.

Thanks folks

I'll take it apart and head to the hardware store. If'n that doesn't work, off to the RV Outlet. The fawcets I found on the 'net seemed absurdly expensive - I'd be better off with bottled water! Cheers.

same problem

I had the same problem. Hunter gets them from a guy who wanted 65 bucks to replace it. and they don't make a repair kit! I got a replacement from J.C. whitney auto parts for about 30 bucks including freight. smae thing and even fit into the same holes. for about the same money, you can put a 12v electric on but I never could figure how to run the wires without a lot of work.

Check Valve

I believe the problem here is with the small plastic one way check valve located on the bottom of the water faucet/pump. In my own experience, the first year I had my H260 in NY, for the winter, I was very careful about draining the fresh water system. However, I didn't realize that a small amount of water remains above the check valve (since it is a "one way" check valve) and freezes and cracks the plastic. This results in a loss of vacume, when you pump water, and leaks. Since then I always remove the check valves for winter storage and they have worked fine for the past five years. The check valves can be purchased directly from Hunter for $2.50 (that was five years ago). Regards, Captain Bob S/V JoySea

Already Trashed It

The rocker arm was the source of the leak. I took it apart and decided it was just very poorly designed, as the rocker arm is at the bottom of the vaccum tube. As water enters the compartment, it just leaks out through the arm slot. I'll try J.C. Whitney. In the meantime, I've got a nasty hole in my countertop. Oh, well.

Nasty hole in counter top

I don't use my sink so I removed the faucet. Now I can stand on the sink when I need to. I use the hole as a handy place to store my tiller extension so it's not left in the cockpit exposed to the elements! ;) ...RickM...

Faucet

I used a Skandvik faucet when I installed the pressurized water system on my H260. The tall goose neck faucet makes it easy to fill pots etc. and folds forward into the sink when not in use. The stem hole is smaller than the original one on the counter; it requires making a base plate like George did.
