Galley/Cabin Trim Advice Needed

I am considering building a shelf that extends over the galley counter/sink area on my 2012 Hunter 39. Any advice for constructing and securing the shelf would be appreciated. I've attached a couple photos to illustrate the space and existing mounting points I plan to use. I want the shelf to mirror the wood and trim on the boat. Suggestions for matching and sourcing materials is needed, especially the fiddle trim along edge of self. I'm currently thinking of using Suncor stainless bimini deck mount hardware (bimini female deck mount mated to male deck swivel) to attach shelf under the handrail above the existing galley cabinets and use a bimini mount on the stainless vertical handrail on opposite end of galley counter. Since there is only one attachment point that can be made to the shelf on the handrail, I am thinking of using a Suncor stanchion brace to provide support opposite the handrail bimini mount hardware. Suggestions for othermounting alternatives are welcome along with any instruction sources for actually fabricating the shelf and trim. Thanks in advance
