Reason I ask is there is such a big price difference.

Looking for pros and cons.

I bought about 30 G4 warm white LED bulbs from a China supplier about a year ago and have been very pleased with them. We've been cruising for about 2 months now and haven't had any problems with them. Just make sure you get the ones that are rated for 10-30 VDC. I cut about a millimeter off the prongs of each one and bent the prongs slightly to make them fit in the fixture a little better. Also, shipping took just a couple weeks.'

Good luck.

Same experience for me. We replaced all 10 of the cabing lights with LEDs and have been very pleased. Given the price vs. ordering locally I ordered a bunch of spares and still didn't pay what 2 bulbs would cost here. I would absolutely order from China again.

Cheers

from looking at the prices SBO has posted and after buying from a company here in Atlanta before SBO had these available they have good prices ( about 1/2 what i paid for them) and i am sure they are better served to the end user than china or my company in Atlanta...and besides that it would not hurt to give SBO some business as i don't know of any place on this earth where you can come and get such good technical advice for the price ....and i am sure it costs a lot to run this web site with an open forum ....just my thoughts... (as my dear departed mom said "watch your manners son when in some ones else's house")

Disclamer.....this is a general comment not directed to any one in particular

I would worry about radio frequency interference. It can be pretty subtle and interfere with VHF, SSB and even your stereo. Unfortunately, most LED manufacturers aren't paying attention to this and there are few regulations outside of some in Europe.
