Got the old CDI roller system off and promptly broke the plastic insert coiling it up to stuff it in my Cherokee. -sigh- It's more beat than I had realized as well...

Better news, my Doyle, San Juan 21 genoa worked good in 10-15 mph last evening on the WKSR. What a difference. Had to pay attention to car placement, but worked quite well. Big slot at the top (it's a couple feet shorter) but got the job done and I already own it! Still looking forward to a proper 135-155 but up and running for now.

Drilled and tapped the transom for the same Catalina "tab" and installed a basic backstay adjuster using 4:1 fiddle block and block on the stay yielding 8:1. May increase that but OK for now. Liking the 4:1 main sheet as well.

Yeah, we had/have quite a fleet here at Lake Monroe Sailing Association (www.flalmsa.org). I think we were up to 15+ boats at one point and there are still quite a few pretty active. I may well get another one (I know of 5 or 6 from $500 to $5,000) as they are just so much fun to sail, very forgiving, easy to set up, etc. Just a bit small when bringing others along, thus the trade-up to the Capri.
