Sailor Tim, a suggestion;

No comment on the large power draw from your video game users but my flat screen 17" TV aboard the boat only draws 3 amps at 12 volts. I wired it directly to a 12 volt breaker. I think you can do that with most of these TV's. I wasn't about to use 12 volt DC power and change it to 120 volt AC, then plug in a TV power supply that changes it back to 12 volt DC again. And it's easy to confirm on your set. Check the back of it and see if you have a removable plug. Most do. Check the brick for output voltage too. Then check plug polarity and DON'T FORGET IT. Then cut out the brick and wire to 12 volts and double check polarity. That's it. Works great. Save the brick for a souvenir.

Charging dedicated battery.

Any fairly good inboard charger can handle up to 3 battery banks. Two of the banks can be dedicated through a switch for boat systems and the thrird bank can be a stand alone or dedicated perhaps to run an inverter. An inverter refrigerator combo would benefit from a dedicated battery in 2-3 day cruises or passages. Mind you it will not charge through the alternator without a combiner but running the boat's engine for hours was never a good option either.

Thanks agian

I had no idea that the flat screen was actually running off of 12v. Learn something new everyday.
