FYI Engine wouldn't start.

Universal 14 hp,Pushed start button , N/G ,Electrical power everywhere So whats wrong? A 20amp fuse located on engine protects selinoid/starter, Not mentioned in manual/trouble shooting guide ETC. at all. Only reference I found was on elec. diagram in manual,I had to search for it. Is this a secret for boatyards to make money or what? Changed it myself in 5 min.A fellow boater told me about it. A honest boatyard would have gotten $60 min.to do it.

Is that the diesel model?

I'd like to know about it too, but is your engine diesel or gas? I have an atomic 4 made by Universal, and wonder if it has the same setup.P.S. - What do you think caused the short (in excess of 20A)?

Rob: Model 18 Diesel Randy: When I took the fuse out it The metal ends fell off, Glass was still intact.Fusable link crumbled. Corrision or vibration? It hasn't happend again.
