I'm in the process of upgrading my electrical system including new battery cables and a combining relay as recommended by Stu and MS on this forum.
I am adding fuses to protect the cables as indicated in the attached diagram.
My question is about fusing the Alternator cable. I think I should connect it to the fuse for the combining relay as shown, so that if the fuse on battery #1 blows, the alternator will still connected to a battery (battery #2).
Is this OK, or should it be connected to a separate fuse or directly to the battery terminal?
Thank you Stu and MS for all of your helpful info on this forum for cabling and fusing, and thank you jonelli for you link to genuinedealz.com for custom cables.
