Maine and all others,

From what I have read it appears there is safety in fusing our starter battery.

Normally I would fuse based on the size of the wire. Om my starter I have a #2 wire to my engine and a #8 from the same battery to my Xantrex charger. If I use Blue Sea MRBF fuses with a dual terminal block I would use a 200 amp (blue) fuse for my starter and a 80 amp (lime) for my charger.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks all,

Steve

So long as these wires are not in the engine compartment and are 105C rated then you can do 210A max on the 2 GA and 80 A max on the GA
