Maine Sail
I have 4 new 6 volt EGC2 batteries from SamsClub (thanks for the tip) and want to addequately protect the bank. I bought 2 Mega Fuse blocks with 225 Amp fuses and planned to put each pair behind its own fuse. However, it now seems a little bit of an over kill. I could connect each pair's positive to the battery side of one fuse. (see diagram for more clarification I hope). Is this a good or bad practice?
Also, the boat came with a ProMariner 1215i battery charger. Since I've upped the house capacity, will this still do the job? I also plan on installing a Kyocera 135/140 W solar panel (will expand to two panels eventually) with a SunSaver Dual 25 Amp Solar charge controller http://www.solar-electric.com/modubachco25.html.
Thanks in advance.
