I have an older Hood system, the one that uses the flat line..After breaking the line I removed the 3 screws from the cover, that is supposed to slide down for access to the drum. It is corroded on so badly that my last option was using heat, but before doing so is there any parts that can be damaged, plastic, bearings, etc. Or any other tips on breaking it loose? Thanks

You can remove the line

I have a sea furl 5 . You can remove the line without taking the unit apart. Just remove the sheet and roll out all of the line from the furler. Then tie in new line. I have a problem in that I don't know where to buy a new line at a reasonable cost.
