re furling sheets
Thanks. I DO have stanchion fairleads which I hope will be right for sail size adjustment from the furling gear. I've never used furling before so I am wondering about just what I do in terms of the sheet lines from the sail: do I need a genoa track on the deck roof? How does one adjust the sheet lead angle going to the winches (which i have on rear of cabin top)? What happens to the sheet angles as you furl in or out? Shouldn't they adjust by a movable block as one does when switching between, say, 100% jib and 135%? I'm also wondering if, for efficient headsail handling by one person, my winches should be relocated to the coamings for a 135% Also, is there a problem with sheet 'route' between a good set for 100% and 135% (interference) because of shroud location? I hope I'm not over-worrying this. Thanks again.
