I have never done a thing to my roller furling. I have no manuals for it. Anyone got an idea?

Make and model?

Probably every imagineable furler is on a Hunter boat. Someone will have your documentation if we know what you need. My own Hyde Staystream gets negative comments here on HOW. But it's rugged, I maintain it, and it works like a charm. See Rig-Rite(below).

Typically keep it clean.

Bud: Most of these units only need to be kept clean. Flush the drum with fresh water to keep the bearings free of dirt and critters.

Furling Maintenance.

I agree with Steve about flushing out with water. Just the lower unit if you have the Jib installed,or both lower & upper units if the Jib is not installed (since the upper unit is now near the deck. Do it periodically thru the season. Also check for lube holes in both units and use furler greasr to lube them (after they dry from flushing). Mine (on a 1990 H-33.5 is a Furlex. There is a lube sold by Furlex for that purpose, but I supose that a furler grease from any of the marine chains will do fine. Once or twice a season should be fine. Dick Carey S/V Puffin

furler

I have never done a thing either. My vision has a hood furler and it is a 91. I have owned her for 2 years and I can tell the other owner wasn't the type to mess with it. It's worked perfectly. I think there are a lot of industry scare tactic as far as maintence on items. There are so many things that will last forever and don't need much attention. Jeff
