Furling jib question?

So took my boat out yesterday for it’s and my first shakedown sail on the SF bay.
All went pretty well and a few things came up.
I noticed the bottom 2 feet approximately of the jib is not in the track?
I’m thinking this is not right?
I’ve included a few pics, any observations or advice helpful to rectify this issue.
Thanks in advance.F5654D68-4304-4301-B04E-8E1CCF15EA4A.jpeg56F2F326-739B-4754-8E8D-8AA328CB2914.jpeg1F918103-9D39-4524-BB2E-F32EC2E0305C.jpeg

When building the furler you set the height based on how you measure and cut the furler extrusions. What you have is what you have unless you take the extrusions apart, re cut and put back together lowering the fitting slit.

Racers have been known to unscrew the lower parts and thread the jib down into the lower extrusion. It makes removing the jib a little more difficult but it marginally improves the jib functionality.

Thanks for the info so basically when you look at my pictures it looks like it’s correct?
Bottom 2 feet not in slot?

Scotty I think your boat will sail fine as designed. Give the Jib a bit more halyard. I like the jib to be smoothly taut but not creating wrinkles along the luff. That will draw out any bag/slop along the bottom of the luff. She will draw nicely.
