Furlex roller furling rubbing

I own a 1982 Hunter 27 with a Furlex roller furling.
I had the mast rewired this Spring and now my jib sheet rubs against the back of the running light mounting bracket on the forward pulpit when furling in causing damage to the sail material around the grommet.
I saw some posts from 2003 that stated a solution by tightening the backstays.

Another option I am looking at is modifying the bow pulpit and moving the cross section that the running lights mount to further forward.

Fixed... Tightened the backstays which allowed just enough clearance so it doesn't rub.
