Furlex 300S problem

My Furlex 300S has become extremely hard to furl and retrieve the sail. I have taken apart to grease as per Selden directions and all seamed well. When replacing the foil into the black plastic top adapter and carrier, the problem returned. I have been told that there may be a missing pin that should be at the bottom of the foil. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Also try easing the jib halyard slightly and see how it goes.

I have taken off the sail to disassemble the Furlex for lubrication.

Some things to consider: check for wear or need for lube of the upper swivel; check to make sure you have the correct angle of the halyard through a halyard restrainer on the mast; and finally, make sure you have the correct exit angle for the furling line as it exits the lower drum.

Problem solved, clevis pin missing allowed lower swivel to rise up from terminal.
