What's wrong with it?
Also......I'm not sure this has been mentioned....but the thickness of the cover material is the same for all the line sizes in this category.... 1/8 in. So that means the core's diameter determines the line size.... the cover is 1/4 larger than the core inside. It also means that no matter hat size line you use for your furling line (up to say, 1/2 inch), when the core is removed the cover will lie flat in the furling drum at only 1/4 in thickness. The difference in size will be in the width of the flat line, but not the thickness.

Here in SD it's tough to justify a Rum Toddy, but I managed. I actually meant 7/16, not 7/8, but I'm still looking for the answer. So what size line is preferred for a furler?
I generally shoot for 5/16" if I can get it wrapped in the drum. 1/4" is too small for me to grip without wrapping it in my hand, (which is a profoundly stupid move), and 3/8" is tight unless the drum is very large. And with the ratings on line, 5/16" ain't gonna give up, and neither will 1/4" for that matter, nobody is strong enough to part 1/4" line. But I like 5/16". (And I'll edit this post if anyone out there is suffering alzheimer's and can't understand what I mean)..
