Furlboom
Dennis, the angle of the boom sound like its off. all these in boom furlers are quite finicky about the boom angle. 89 degrees is the optimal angle. I've actually marked my main sheet at the proper angle so I do it right each and every time. since the sail is riding forward, you probably have the boom angle larger than the 89 degrees. i.e. the aft of the boom is too low. although its not as accurate as marking the sheet, if you eyeball the first batten as it's furling, it needs to be precisely parallel to the boom. this will get you pretty close. once you get it right, mark the vang or sheet as to the location. I prefer the sheet since my H410 has boom end sheeting. I'm in the owners directory if I can be of more help. I've had my furlboom for 8 years and it really works great, but it did take a bit of work to find the right angle. Bryce
