I just purchased a 1988 272LE and I'm awaiting delivery in Port Clinton, Ohio. I've got the appointment for the launch, stepping of the mast and commissioning the boat. I'm waiting at the marina for the truck when I receive a call from the driver and he informs me that he was stopped for a safety check. Turns out his driver's license is expired. The driver had to find a ride to a DMV somewhere in southern Ohio and three hours later he's ready to roll, except... When he returns to the truck they have pulled his wide load permit. He is currently sleeping with the boat in an abandoned restaurant parking lot waiting for the ODOT office to open. Maybe I'll see my boat in June.
