Alan: What is the current status on your terrific fuel whistles? How are they coming? I am still chomping at the bit to get one.

I'm not sure it every will be..

brought to market. I've tried to contact these people for years and you never get a reply. Good idea. No follow through. Beware.

I too have been trying to contact those same folks for years. Got fed up with waiting so I developed my own. Had some problems with design and manufacturing earlier on, but these issues have now been worked out. They'll be ready real soon. I'll post the web address when they're up.

Does it whistle Dixie?

It seems like a terrific idea to prevent fuel spillage when refueling. Get some investors and design a quality item. This could be big as you may get EPA to require manufacturers to install them and urge used boaters to retrofit. It would take some heavy investment into patents and product trials but the payoff could be big.

That's for sure comming.....

...down the road. Not only for liquid fuel, but fuel vapors as well. Fortunately retrofitting boats is going to be a very easy process with my Fuel Whistle. Once you put it in(about ten minutes) you can forget about it.

And believe me, the market is there.

I love mine. This is not a new idea. Alan is developing his after the company that made mine went away. I have two and love 'em. No spills, at the fill or the vents. (two tanks of course)

What does it do?

Have been reading the thread but not sure what the concept is and why it differs from products already on the market. would appreciate it if someone could describe. There are products which either feed overflow from the vent back into the line (presuming it too is not full) and other products already available for installation in the vent line which whistle while air is purging but stop when fuel reaches the tube. Is there something different/better?

Don: Have you tried to buy a whistle lately?

Can't find them anywhere. That's where Alan comes in, and that is what I am waiting for.
