Fuel sending unit

Looks like its time to replace the fuel sending unit. The tank was just filled and after a weekend away it now reads past E. I removed the wire to the unit and grounded it and the gauge moved to F which I believe tells me its the sending unit. The current unit is a Medallion Instruments. Would the correct replacement be a Tempo 280070 and if so any suggestions on the best place to buy? Ron Chels-A-Bella 1984 C-30

Had the same problem

purchased a Tempo #? at Boaters world, works fine. also moved the fuel gauge out by the engine panel.
