Fuel Return Line

I just finished replacing the fuel lines on my O'Day 34's Universal 24. The problem is the boat yard started the job, the tech was hurt and a car wreck after he had removed all of the lines and hasn't been back to work. I reviewed the owner's manual and replaced the lines. The problem is the fuel retrun line. The barb coming out of the last injector is small approx. 1/8 inch. The fittings for the return line at the tank are 1/4". Is there a reducer in this line to drop the attached line to 1/8 inch or is the 1/4 hose tighten to the barb? If someone could look at your set up next time you're on your boat and reply I would appreciate it. I know this is a dumb question but I want to get this right considering any leakage would be on a hot engine. Thanks.

My OD34 has a connector/adapter that has a hose barb on one side and female threads on the other. The connector is mounted on the forward 'lifting eye' bracket of the engine. A photo is attached to this - OD34fuelline.jpg. I don't know just how it's attached to the bracket and can't tell without disconnecting it. Might have threads at the base of the hose barb. If you have the same bracket you can probably tell. Hope this is helpful.

Pic too big - sorry

Tom, I emailed the picture directly to you. Was too big for website's system and wasn't sure how to zip it and still have it come thru. Harlan
