Fuel/oil ratio for 1990 Mercury 9.9

Can anyone give me the correct fuel to oil ratio for my newly aquired 9.9 long shaft, 2 cycle circa 1990?

My 1990 Merc brochure appears to indicate that 50/1 fuel oil is proper. If in doubt, contact a Mercury Outboard Dealer/mechanic or possibly the Mercury web site. I'd be reasonably sure of that 50/1 ratio though, I know it won't be higher than that (ie: more oil).
