There is no fuel quantity indicator on the 34, at least not mine. At 25 gallons, unless doing serious power cruising, a calendar is probably good enough for fuel planning. I burn 7 gallons a year. At that rate, refuelling every odd year would work. I hear of rates of .3-.5 gph at 2000-2400 RPM (Yanmar), and that sound fairly close. It should be easy to install a fuel gauge sender in the top of the tank, maybe someone has and will give a report... -Hooper Harris

Messy size lesson

Fred, I found out the same thing the first time I tried to dump a 5 gallon jug of diesel into what the former owner thought was a 3/4 full tank 25 gallon tank. What a clean up mess! Now I calculate usage based on 20 gallons being full.
