Hello all,

On the MD6A, when you pull out the injectors, someone mentioned that there is a gasket at the bottom of the injector hole. Well, I have the injectors out, but those holes are pretty deep.brbr

Any suggestions on ways to get the gaskets out?brbr

Thanks,
gh

Hi groundhog (your day will come :) )

There is no gasket but there should be a copper washer for each injector.

The only copper washers I know of are the ones on the fuel lines.
When I installed my injectors, I simply installed them in the holes
and bolted down the retainers. You will probably need new washers
for the fuel lines however. Get them from a Volvo dealer.

Yes, I left the groundhog hole today and went to pick up the rebuilt injectors. brbr

They gave me a copper washer for each injector nozzle, and smaller copper washers for the fuel pipe connections.brbr

Most of you may know this, but just to get it in the email record...brbr

The part numbers are, injectors KBAL70P1/4 225 Volvo, 3875399 Bosch. Nozzle no. 3875400 Bosch.brbr

When they rebuild the injectors, they basically change out the nozzle and I think there is a poppet valve inside the nozzel that gets changed.brbr
