Lazarette diving

Chuck, If your '87 is anything like my '88, the factory-installed fuel gauge is on the tank, front starboard corner. It is a nightmare to read with a high-powered spotlight and very good eyesight (or, simply diving into the lazarette and getting a very closeup view of it). As you can imagine, not only is this a pain in the behind for the skipper, but it also means disturbing anyone unfortunate enough to be sitting on the portside cockpit seat. I've had enough of it, myself. I'm planning to install an after-market fuel gauge somewhere that I can read while at the helm. Any ideas? All bets are on at this point.
