Fuel Consumption ....??

I just purchased a 1987 Hunter 37 ... with I believe a 35 HP Yanmar.. Assuming everything is working properly, does anyone have any fuel consumption figures? Seems like I read somewhere where the factory rates consumption to be .7 liter/hour? Does this seem reasonable?ThanksJohn Gravitts/v Lone Star

"Prospect" is a Legend 37.5 that has a similar (if not the same) engine.With a three blade fixed prop I get.6gph at 2500RPM at 6 - 6.5 kt, .75gph at 2800RPM at 6.5 - 6.8 kt and 1.0gph at 3000RPM and about 7ktJim"Prospect"

I agree, more like 0.75 - 1.0 gallons/hour

I agree with previous response - I have a 1987 Hunter 37 with the Yanmar 3HM35F and a 2 blade prop and experience similar performance - around 0.75 to 1.0 gal/hr
