Fuel consumption

We have just purchase a 1989 Hunter 30 with a Yanmar diesel model 2 GM 20 F and are wondering at normal crusing speed what the fuel consumption is per hour.

I use 1/2 gallon per hour.

My 1987 Hunter 31 2GM20F consumed 0.33 galllons per hour. That compares to 0.44 gallons per hour my 3JH3E consumes.

On my '81 H33 I eventually replaced the original 2QM15 with the 2GM20F and I'll concur that she sips about 1/2 gal/hr.

When we had our H'31 (2GM20F) we saw anywhere from .6 to 1.0 gal/hr when running the engine at 2800-2900 rpm with a 2 bladed prop.

We see .4 to .75 on our 3JH engine.
