Fuel Consumption Universal 11 hp

Does anyone know the fuel consumption on a 11 hp unviersal on my O'Day 28. I am on a lake and do not have a hour meter so it makes it hard to figure. I probably use 2 tanks full a year (18 Gal). I am planing to take the boat to Florida and cruise the Abaco's and need to know the fuel consumption.Thanks

Fuel Burn Rate

I spoke with Lakewood Yacht Service in Houston and they looked up fuel consumption in a old manual. At 75% power the fuel burn rate is .44 gal per hour or with the 18 gal tank 40 hours 54 min.

Fuel Consumption

We also have a 28. We took her out on the atlantic ocean and had to motor home (9 hours - direct into the wind, couldn't sail) and we estimated 1/2 gallon per hour. Hope this helps
