I own a 2000 26X with a 50 HP 4 stroke Mercury. I am interested in hull speed. Maximum range speed. Most economical planing speed. Most economical displacement speed. The engine manufacturer has not been helpful.
Since the boat can plane, you really do not have a hull speed. The Honda 50 will usually do 18-19 mph with typical loads. The best cruising speed is achieved at about 5000 rpms and you use about 5 gallons per hour at this rate.
