I checked the winches today...
With the boat a good 50+ miles to the south of me, I don't get down there as often as I would like. But today I had to do several things on the boat so I decided to give the winches a good look over. They are Lewmar 16 Single Speed and as I mentioned, one works and one is frozen. However, when I put the winch handle in to winch to see just how frozen it was, the winch turned freely. So right now both winches are working. This does not mean that my worries are over. I will still do maintenance on them as soon as possible. But for now, it seems this issue is not a major one. Not like the one with my outboard's cooling system not working. Thanks again for everyones advise. I feel I have a lot more confidence to do my own maintenance on the winches.
