Having installed a new watercooled Isotherm fridge system, we realized that our old fridge box isolation seems to be moist in places - there was some water dripping out of the bore holes for the new cooling element. Did anybody have a similar problem and can give us advice how to approach the isolation without destroying the whole galley furniture... Thanks and regards form AKKA HR 42 E / hull 143, 1986

To SV "Akka" It's possible that the moisture that you're finding is due to condensation. To elimiate this, make sure that all openings/holes around the refrigeration lines that go through the side of the box are sealed with a non thermal conductive sealant... LifeCaulk or white Silicone would work. Make sure you remove old sealant around the lines first, wipe with alcohol, and apply new sealant. If this is not the problem, look for other sources of moisture entering from an outside source of the box... drain lines or water lines going to the nearby sink.
