IS THERE A FRESHWATER TREATMENT TO REMOVE FOUL ODORS AND TASTE THAT'S COMPATIBLE WITH USING KO IN A FRESHWATER HEAD SYSTEM?

Doesn't matter how you clean out the system...

...'cuz anything you use, you're gonna thoroughly flush out.Follow the directions in the article called "Fresh Water Maintenance" in the reference library of the Head Mistress forum, and you'll be fine.

...BUT WHAT ABOUT PERIODIC TREATMENTS

LIKE "AQUABON" OR "AQUAFRESH"? THESE ARE APPARENTLY RECCOMMENDED FOR PERIODIC USE, NOT JUST FOR SPRING COMMISSIONING. THANKS AGAIN.

Nothing should be needed if..

The system is recommissioned annually, preferably each spring as part of the entire boat recommissioning. Nothing sitting in the tank is gonna help the lines anyway, and that's where 90% of foul water problems occur.
