Just last week we just purchased a 2003 Beneteau 331. During the survey the freshwater pump worked flawlessly. However, during the delivery trip, when the water was NOT in use it began cycling ON momentarily about every 2 minutes. Any thoughts?
We have a 323 .. If its out of water the pump runs all the while .. If you have a leak then the pump is just pumping up the pressure .. It may be a leak in the pump .. Ours is a Jabasco and just has a simple rubber diaphragm pump so rubber leaking ..
Try tightening the 4 screws that hold it together .. Change it .. Check all the pipe connections including the shower on the back .. They break if frozen ..
The pump shouldn't cycle unless there is demand. The tank is on the low pressure side of the system and probably isn't air tight anyway. I would look for a loose fitting or a drippy faucet. Worst case would be a line or fitting that froze and split...
Did you check for an unusual amount of water in the bilge?
