I have 2 freshwater tanks on my b361. Will someone explain how the freshwater pump takes water from the tanks. Which one is being pumped first and how does it pump from the 2nd one when the first one is emptied. Also what is a good way of monitoring how much water is left.

The 361 has a set of valves that determine which tank the water is pulled from. They're under the STBD seat in the salon. Typically you have one valve open and the other closed, then switch them when that particular tank is empty. If I recal correctly the total tankage is apx 80 gals. To be sure look it up on Beneteau's website, they have a section on previous models. As for knowing when to switch tanks you can check the gauge in the top of the tanks. A good thing to do prior to taking a shower :)

Thank you Mike.
I will be at the boat in the morning and will check my tanks.

I went to my boat and the controls are exactly where you said they would be. Thank you.
I found both valves in the open position. I checked the water tank under the V-berth and I think the gauge is on top of the tank. I didn't see any markings though indicating 1/2 or full, etc. Am I looking at the right spot. Also since both valves are in the open position, does that mean the pump is drawing from both at the same time? Looking at the connections at the pump and valves it looks as though that might be the case.
