Fresh Water Vent Issue?

I have cleaned and resealed my water tank on my 1985 H31 as per some previous posts in the forum.
After refilling the tank with fresh water, I have noticed that the tank gets pressurized, and it started to leak at one edge of the cover. I have noticed that no overflow water came out the rear thru hull opening when the tank was full, like it used to in the past. I suspected the vent hose and tested it. I put a steel wire through it to ensure it is not blocked. I have also blew air through the hose and it seemed that it came out from the other end. I have noticed however that there was water in the hose.
I am really puzzled. Any ideas?

I would suggest that you remove the vent hose from the tank and see if you can clear it was a water hose. There may be a nest or something blocking the vent.

It may be a good time to replace the hose.
