Hot Water Tank

May be filling, once full you should get some flow. Open one facent at a time all around the boat closing each one before opening another. Possible broken connection, check your bilge for water. Otherwise, you got me.

Shut off valves

If you have more than one water tank, there will be a shut off valve for each tank. Sounds like they are all turned off. On the C-387, these are located in the bilge.

Water Valves

Duck33, You didn't mention whether you had a C-42 MkI or a MkII. On the MkI, the water tank valves are in the bilge at the base of the companion way. The valves are clearly marked as to which tank they control. On a MkII 2 cabin, the valves are located under the galley sink and are also clearly marked. If you have a 3 cabin, I am not sure where the valves are. Standard practice on the C-42 is to use one tank at a time as an empty tank in the system will cause the pump to draw in air and not prime. You may want to try the C-42 website at www.catalina42.org Hope that helps, Sashay, C-42 #567 2 cabin fin
