I believe the 83 was still the Cherubini design if so it should be located in the port settee in front of the water tank, near the nav station. Like many things on these boats stuff also has found new homes if the PO thought he had a better idea.
In any case I would look for the tank and expect to find the pump one side or the other of it but more than likely nearest the galley.

There is a nice plumbing plan in the Info by Model section of this website. Says your pump is under the quarterberth.

The diagrams are not accurate. My fresh water tank is under the starboard Bench seat and I believe the water pump is under an access door next to the water heater in the starboard storage area in the cockpit. There is one valve coming out of the tank. No access around the galley for a pump.
