Fresh water leak

I am an owner of a Beneteau 461. I filled my water tanks in preparation for a passage. The bilge pump ran every 2-3 minutes. To diagnose the problem, I emptied all water tanks except the port tank. The bilge pump continuted to run, but the water pump did not. Am I correct in assuming the tank leaks? Can anyone tell me how to fix a leaking water tank in a Beneteau 461? Please Help. Maybe the tank itself does not leak. To start with the basics, you didn't state that you saw water in the bilge. Could be a switch/pump problem or could be a leak. If a leak, you could put some red or green food color in the water tank and see which drains into the bilge. Check all your hose clamps.
