Freezing cold but I did it anyway

At WYC we've gotten good at playing late season games. We watch the water temp and 7 day forecast to know when we need to get outta Dodge.

Dec 5 - Water temp drops 3 degrees in 48 hours, and the next week is COLD. So out she comes, on what would be a pretty nice day to sail.

Seven days later.....

I'm shooting for 110 so... I might have to modify that rule some point down the line.

December 12 in SE PA. Had our first (and very early, I might add) 10º night last night. Temps were below freezing most of the day, though at lunch the sun was out and the howling wind of yesterday was calm. Standing in the sun with no wind on below freezing days is not bad at all. I wanted to sail last weekend, but the temps were around freezing and a bit too breezy. I haven't been to the lake, but I guess it's started freezing near shore. We are supposed to get our first real snow (more than a dusting) overnight tonight, but it's supposed to change over to rain Saturday, and go back up to 54º and rainy on Sunday. Then Monday's high of 30º. I'm not saying I want it cold below freezing (my oil bill doesn't much like that...) but I wouldn't mind a bit of seasonal consistency...
