door seals are pretty common things in the refrigeration trade.. you don't say if it's horizontal or vertical. there is a good chance a local refrigeration supply would have door gasket samples that you could possibly match up with what you have. Or, you could contact the mfg of your unit. Most doors that are hinged have some sort of way to adjust them also.. sometimes it requires shims.
Unless you know for sure that the gasketing is totally shot (feel cold air escaping around the door/lid edge) then do the dollar bill test. If you put a dollar bill on the gasket and close the lid or door and can pull the bill out without __ANY__ resistance, it's time for new gasketing. If you're getting resistance, than you've got another issue besides the gasketing.
In terms of gasketing, I redid all mine last spring and it helped a huge amount. Ultimately I replaced the original Adler Barber unit but that's another story completely. I got the gasketing at Home Depot. Just ask for weather stripping 1/2 round gasketing. Worked like a charm.

Yeah Windsock I think this is way beyond the dollar test. I can feel it blowing out pretty good! I will take the measurements tomorrow when I get there and change it out asap! Thanks
don't know about the 41DS, but on my 410 and lots of models during the same time the problem isn't the seals it's the latches so check those first
Nodack, you don't say how old your boat is. If she's a late 90's or early 2000's then it's quite possible it's the gaskets. But Don brings up a good point about checking the latches first. If the latches are good, then measure how thick the gaskets are and go to Home Depot and pick up a roll of the appropriate size gaskets (width and how high before compression).
The hardest job in replacing the gaskets is getting the old one's off. The rest is simple...carefully cut the new ones to the right length and glue them on.

Lucas, I will have to look at the latches. I did not think that there was much adjustment in them. If I recall it was just two or three screws on the top and bottom holding the hinge. I do not recall any "adjustment" capability there. Another thing to check when I get there...
On second thought I was thinking the hinge not the latch that holds the door closed. Is there adjustment there? How about if I just put a piece of rubber on it to hold the door tighter against the seal?
My latches just "pop" up and then down when the lid closes. I once had the pop up part get knocked down when the lid was open so even though the lid looked closed it wasn't because the arm on lid was on top of the latch lever. There isn't any adjustment on them, them just wear out etc. it normally is something loose in the lid hardware.
