We have a Switlik, MD Series 6 Man Life Raft, MFG - 2/13/06. It weighs 68 lbs and is in an orange material bag. We bought this to take with us on two separate trips to the Bahamas from New Jersey in 2006 and 2009. We have had it serviced at Switlik once since we have had it in 2008. We still have our sailboat, but never plan to go offshore again with it. The Life Raft has resided in our rec. room in the lower level of our Bi Level along with our Zodiac Dinghy which is a few years older than the Life Raft. Dry and cool location. I blew the dinghy up last year, it looked fine. // In 2021, I corresponded with Switlik and they said, since it was stored in a cool, dry location, it still may be good. In 2021, the charge by Switlik would be $100 for Evaluation and $900 - $1000 for servicing and replacement of expired equipment. At this point, we would like to give this Life Raft to someone would have a use for it and not mind paying to have it serviced. We may have spent around $3500 for the Life Raft, can't remember.
