Hi fred I noticed you have a remote oil filter on your yanmar so maybe you can help. I was at the WM discount store yesterday and picked up a remote oil filter kit for my 2GM20 and the oil filter treads are hlf inch and so are the treads on the plate that goes on the motor but it won't go on. Any help before I try something else,I stop fooling around with hot rods a long time ago but I can see you still do with your camaro. nick

Nick, I didn't 'hotrod' my oil filter adapter.

It's made by Trans Dap and available from Summit Racing. Just ask for their universal remote oil filter adapter. I paid $39.95 for it a couple of years ago. Because it's universal, I just threw out a bunch of unneeded parts that were included. 800 230 3030. Oh, don't use the hose clamps that come with it. They're lame. Does that mean I 'hotrodded'?

Hot Roding Days Are Gone???

I have a remote oil filter setup but the problem is the remote kit uses sae threads and the treads on my 2001 2GM20 uses pipe tread for the filter tread off the block. I retapped the plate but it only goes in half way so a friend is going to use his tools at work on monday if not I'll go with another kit. Thanks I guess this means I didn't give up hot roding it after all :) nick
