Hello,I have just realized that I have purchased a 1977 stub keeled Oday 22 that has been Frankensteined to a ‘mast shortened’ mast head rig and mainsail from an Oday 23, my fault for not researching my initial purchase. It balances off not to badly with only a working jib sheeted to the mid deck. I have to battle upwind though, and so my question to owners of Oday 23’s is whether purchasing the full 130 percent genoa will help in my quest to get out of the bay rather than sailing in one spot. Do ‘you’ find your boats able to point upwind with power when using the full genoa. What thoughts…
