In 4 days, I start my annual sailing trip with my friend of 52 years, Mark. I always point out to him that I'm the first person to have kicked his a$$, having knocked him off a couch when we were both toddlers (all caught on 8 mm movie film).
Anyhow, we either sail on his boat in Oklahoma, or mine in Wisconsin. This year, it's Wisconsin and we take off on Sunday in the AM. The weather looks to be nearly perfect for the week, although hopefully we'll get a little stronger winds than have been forecast. We contemplated a trip across the lake, but probably will just harbor hop on the Wisconsin side this year given that we only have 6 days of sailing. I would want to cross at Manitowoc/Two Rivers to Luddington since the distance is shorter there, but it will take us a couple of days to get up there. Harbor hopping is the better choice under the circumstances. I'm working the next couple of days on getting the boat cleaned up and stocked and then R&R for a week. I'll post some pictures in a couple weeks after the cruise.
