Forward screen

I just took delivery on my new 240 and am still walking around the boat to make sure I got all my pieces parts (some options haven't arrived yet). I have an easy question for other 240 owners- Is there supposed to be a screen for the forward hatch like the one for the stern (underseat) hatch?

But i just used some nylon screen and had my wife sew velcro around it then glued the other half of the velcro around the hatch with screws and finish washers in the corners just to be sure.

Admire with a screwdriver

Be sure all those pieces and parts are secure. Things on new boats seem to work loose in transit.... or were never really tight at the factory. This might save a problem later. It takes a pretty big Phillips driver for some of those. This is part of my 'spring routine' on my old boat too. KenS/V Wouff Hong

No Screen

The short answer is that it doesn't come with one.Enjoy your new boat! We have had ours for about 10 months and have had a great time.

Yep, no screen...

Paul is correct. Although the stern berth screen is well fitted and very cool, nothing comes for the forward hatch. We fashioned something out of velcro and screen material. It works but is less than bristol.'Good luck with your new boat.Bill WelschRenewal
