Anybody know how to replace bulbs in 1973 era Catalina 27. they are the recessed kind, stock issue, with two screws outside with a cylinder containing bulb assembly. I wasn't sure if bulb was replaced inside or outside, so I started with two screws outside. They, of course, were deceptively corroded; they looked fine until you applied a little pressure and then they crumbled into greenish fragments. I just want to replace bulbs.

I have the same boat but for the life of me I'm not 100% sure!! I'm pretty sure you replace them from inside but I'll confirm this tomorrow when I'm at mine. I've never had to replace them!

Remove the cover on the front of the V-berth by lifting it up, then out. The bulbs are in sockets that pull out.
